Space Theory #1: A Gas Station On Mars?

Hello Batlings!
This post is for those of you who know that space travel is NOT just science fiction.
(This post is NOT a conspiracy theory about there being a gas station on mars).

Today, I would like to show you my idea for getting out of the solar system.

The Solar System With 'Gas Stations'
(I Drew This Picture. Picture NOT To Scale)

My idea goes like this:

Scientists send an automated rocket to the moon; once on the moon, the rocket will release pre-programmed robots onto the lunar surface.

The robots, using materials from the ship, will construct a basic launchpad and refueling machine.

After building the launchpad, the robots will begin to mine the surrounding area; they will convert as much as possible into rudimentary rocket fuel (and may even use the fuel and raw materials from the ship).

Another automated rocket will then be sent to land on the launchpad.

The robots will refuel the rocket, which will then launch to mars (or one of it's moons).

Once on mars (or one of it's moons), the rocket will release pre-programmed robots onto the martian surface.

After mars and it's moons have been landed upon (and the 'gas stations' have been built), the robots will continue on to the asteroid belt (and beyond); the robots will continue to mine, turning as much as possible into usable material.

Humans colonize the moon; using the launchpad. Humans next colonize mars and it's moons.

Eventually, humans will live on every habitable place in the solar system; after mining the solar system for materials, humans will then move out of the solar system (hopefully, the terraformed planets will create more space-faring societies, before the solar system's end).

That's my idea! What do you think, would it work? Please comment your opinions!

Goodbye Extraterrestrial Batlings!
